Help missing icons

Was wondering if anyone else has been having same problems.

It has been about 2 or 3 times now that some icons are disappearing randomly.

So far it has always been my gmail icon. Its not that big of a deal because I just put another one on my home screen...just not sure why its happening.

yeah you're not alone. it's happened to me once. no big deal i just added back.
of course i dont know what went wrong.

Are the apps with disappearing icons installed on the sd card by chance?

Gmail is not on my card.
Actually none were on the card.

I am using the standard launcher. Nothing special. Happened again today.
Weird behavior....

what happened to me was the icon disappeared, but the name is still there... and the invisible icon still works.... haha

Sounds like not enough ram..maybe ?

I only got this problem after i freed up some memory by moving apps to SD card...

I lose the same icons every time I change wallpapers, and have to add them back to the various home screens.

No solution found yet.
