Missing Microphone from Keyboard

SusyQ

Lurker
My microphone has disappeared from my texting keyboard.
How do I get that keyboard back?

I have an Android Alcatel Pixie Avion LTE.

I'm sorry, I was out of town.

Anyways, the keyboard that I WAS using had a microphone that, when I clicked on it, I could record the whole text message, but, I don't know whether I clicked on something wrong or what, but, recently a keyboard showed up that has the "swype" on it, and a microphone, with a Google in the upper left corner, but, when I click on the microphone, it gives me a google mic that gives me about 2.2 seconds to record the text before it shuts off. I have to keep clicking on it and recording more.
I want the original mic.

The keyboard you described sounds like Gboard (a new keyboard by Google). I don't face the same problem as you. The keyboard waits for enough time before it stops recording any speech. Try updating the keyboard. If even after that the keyboard annoys you , you could switch keyboard&amp from the notification in the notification bar which appears when try to type something.

Go into device> Settings< then look for >Language and Input< and there you can enable microphone\ voice typing.
