Apps Missing shared library/adb issues

Hi All,

I have a Nexus One I am using for development. A developer have given me an app to load onto my device for assessment. I can't get it to load on though as the PC command line tells me that it can't see the N1 attached.

So, I downloaded the SDK and emulator and got that running. I can't get the app to run on that either. This time, on the first install attempt, it said : Could not access the package manager. Is the system running? The second attempt it came back with: Install failed, missing shared library

I am a complete novice here so please be gentle with me! Ideally I would like to get both the emulator and the app transfer to device sorted, but one fix would be better than none!

Cheers

Jimbo
