Root MIUI for Rush?

I know some people were talking about this over at the reverb forum but is this a process that could be possible? I would really love to see it on the rush and if anyone knows how please share with us!

Thanks but unfortunately I'm a super noob at making ROMs so I think I should stay away from building anything but if anyone else could do it I'd give them all of my appreciation :rolleyes:
 
miui is a knockoff of cm, thus in order to have a miui rom you need to have a cm rom first. same goes for any of the other big aosp based roms, without having someone make a device tree and build a cm rom you arent going to get much further with the other roms. any bugs that a cm rom would have would be carried over as well, its the wonders of having to use the same device tree :O

fixed that for ya :P

after someone does all the hard work of making cm work, you will need someone else (usually clueless and talentless, not always but mostly) to grab the hard work put it in new source and type a few commands.

whats worse is that requires learning how to compile from source, doing a dirty port is even easier and what most miui ports are. heck there used to be a script to convert a cm7 rom to miui.
 
What if we take the cm9 port from the prevail. It works but the current bugs are only hardware related, problems that the rushes hardware could handle.

except the prevail is nothing like teh rush, you guys have teh reverb as a sister device. jimmy has been hopping in irc talking with interloper for days talking back and forth getting help trying to get cm10 booting on teh reverb. the only rush owner that comes in is chris and he doesnt come in for help or often. as i said to many others before yall, it is up to you guys to do something about the situation. no one is gunna swoop in and save ya.

we are here for anyone looking for assistance but we (OUDHS) are too busy and too loaded to try and take on random devices. we do offer any help we can possibly provide though :)

BTW, for those of use who do not know where the channel is on IRC, which server and channel is it?
 
Correct me if im wrong but CM10 is Jelly Bean right? I read on another post how even jelly bean is a big leap from ics. I understand that everyone wants the latest software but when youve got two phones with moderate dev support, wouldnt it be easier just to make cm9 first? I mean if its easier lol

Yes CM10 is JB, but why bother with CM9, we're already running ICS.
 
As a way to give the people what they want for the time being. plus, customization is almost limitless so people will be content until we can get good traction going on CM10.
