MixZing and Headset controls

musser666

Lurker
I have been using MixZing for a while now to play my music, the headset has always worked in the following way:
1 press = stop/start music
2 quick presses = skip track

i just installed ringdroid and now when i use mixzing there is no way to stop the track, 1 press = skip track, 2 press = skip 2 tracks.

its quite annoying not being able to stop and start my music

the default media player still functions in the normal way, but its rubbish so id rather not use it

if i enable "system events only" in the mixzing settings then the controls return to normal, but they do not function when the phone is in standby mode

its as if mixzing has cached some setting from ringdroid and now wont go back to how it was, i have uninstalled ringdroid and i have uninstalled and reinstalled mixzing and cleared the application cache

does anyone have any ideas how to change the wireless controls? or how to fix this problem? help please :)

aha, fixed it!

it would appear from having used mixzing on my wifes phone that the functionality of mixzing means 1 press = skip track and always has been like that, for some reason mine has been functioning in the same way as the default player.

i managed to get my mixzing back to how it was by launching both media players at the same time, pausing mixzing manually then forcing the app to close then pressing the headset to start the music on the default player, relaunching mixzing and then skipping a few tracks on the default player by multi clicking on the headset. this then caused mixzing to start and stop every time i pushed the button, then closing the default player mixzing keeps the functionality of 1 press = stop/start and 2 press = skip track

:D:D win
