mkv mini hdmi out to tv

so i am new to the smart phone world so no picking on me if i say something dum lol...

this is what i have? droid x2 hdmi cable for phone and a tv...

what i want to do? i would like to play mkv movies that i have on my phone on my tv.

now the problem. the default player can not play mkv so i have a another player that lets me play them. most of what i have that is mkv is anime and thay have more than one audio track and sub track so i have to be able to swap them around.

most of the time i would just say convert them. but no seeing that most anime has any where from 1 to well over 300 eps i cant be doing that all the time.

so what im am looking for is a mkv player that will output to a tv over the mini hdmi.

now some may say this can not be dun? but i say yes. i had a gay that i worked with that was able to do it. now you ask why not ask him? i say the guy was a flake and quit before i was able to ask him and i have no way to get in touch with him. yes i know very sad.

so im dun with my rambling

ONLY the stock video player will output via hdmi.

The only other way to get it to work is to root your phone, and install a custom rom and kernal that supports hdmi mirroring.
 
Maybe your TV can play (decode) the .mkv file.
So you could use your phone as an USB stick :)

well my tv can but 99% of the time my tv would not be doing it. i travel for work so i do it when im out on the road..
