I have a pair of Shure SE535 earphomes (technically, they are in-ear monitors):

As with many good quality ear-in monitors, the cable uses an MMCX connection, and can be easily removed and replaced.
My questions are:
Shure makes a wired replacement cable with remote and mic, but that's for iphones, and the remote won't work properly with Android phones because Apple, in its renown hatred of open standards, wisely decided to change the standard TRRS configuration (left audio, right audio, mic, ground) into their own version (left audio, right audio, ground, mic).
Thanks!

My questions are:
- is there a wired MMCX cable with remote and mic for Androids? On Amazon I have found one by a company called 'gator'; the description says it works with Apple and Samsung, but it can't be right (see below).
- is there a bluetooth MMCX cable? AFAIK bluetooth is one of the few standards Apple has not messed with, so a bluetooth cable should be universal and work with both Apple and Android. Westone makes one, but I haven't been able to find it in Europe. Amazon sells one by 'gator', but it has poor reviews, and the battery life (4 hours) is half that of the Westone cable.
