MMS/Group Inbound Oddity

I've noticed for a while now that when someone sends me a group/mms message, on occasions, a picture will be attached to the message. At first I thought Next SMS was having issues till I noticed the stock app was doing the same.

Here's the kicker. The inbound pictures are pics I took months and months ago. I mean took them, sent them out, deleted the messages and pics.

I've used clean sweep programs to remove all cache, file manager after file manager to find all jpg and pic files on device. I mean these pics do not exist from what I can see. Yet, every once in a while one comes in. And before you ask, no the sender couldn't of ever had access to them.

Samsung wasn't able to help other than factory reset. I'll do the reset, but wanted to see if anyone else has ever seen this

A shot in the dark here but try going to your file explorer, DCIM and delete the .thumbnails folder as that contains pretty much every picture you've sent on your phone. Don't worry, it won't delete the originals. :)
