Help MMS/Group Messaging over WIFI

Hello,

My phone isn't sending MMS over WiFi when I'm connected to it.
It does however allow me to send SMS.
My current texting app is Textra.

The interesting thing is that the stock messaging app allows me to send MMS but only in group text but not picture messages.

Is anyone else facing this issues?

Has anyone found a solution?

I don't think you can text over Wi-Fi at all unless it's a free texting app
 
The L70 and more newer phone have something call Wifi Calling.

It's located in the setting of the phone.
 
"Wi-Fi calling allows you to make and receive calls; access unlimited high-speed data; and send and receive messages over a wireless internet connection. Using Wi-Fi calling is easy! All the metropcs phones I have (the lg motion) have to have data enabled to send MMS. SMS (non-mms text) usually goes through the cellular (non-data) connection, afaik. Are you saying that you've put the phone into airplane mode, turned wifi on, and are able to send sms texts?
