MMS slow on non-stock apps?

Hi all,

A few weeks ago, I started experiencing significant delays in sending MMS thru Handcent on my VM Samsung Galaxy S3 (which is an otherwise outstanding phone). As in, hour delays. Yesterday I texted a picture at 6:30 and it did not arrive until 11:30! I recently installed Go SMS Pro and am experiencing the same delays, if not outright failure to send.

Sending MMS thru the stock app works seamlessly, however. And, SMS works fine no matter which app I use.

Any ideas as to what the deal is? If I have to use the stock app to send MMS, I will, but I'd prefer to use a single messaging app, and I'd like that to be Handcent or GoSMS Pro because of emoji and other added features.

Have you tried Textra?

Also check your APN settings for MMS.

If the MMS setting is wrong, no MMS app will send pictures.

It could be Verizon, data picking again.

I had this slow issue from handcent and they where able to fix it. Contact your app provider mine was actually caused by the APN settings in the app. According to them the LTE phones where the only phones having this problem through handcent
