Mobile data auto connect

[Android Question]

I have a Samsung S2 which is only used for calls and texts. However my mobile carrier is billing me for mobile data usage for the exact same amount of data everyday. I know I have not accessed the Internet via my mobile phone - does this phone do a daily auto connect as I don't know how to prevent these charges and the phone company is adamant I have accessed the Internet and the charges are valid

You have to go to Setting's, and turn off 3/4G, Data or Mobile Data. I do not have a Samsung, but that is true on most every cell.
