Have noticed my gps turning on randomly. I checked running services to see what was using it and mobile defense showed up. I thought it was only supposed to turn on gps when I'm tracking my phone from their website. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

I've been using it for almost a year on a couple phone and I've never noticed this. Only time the GPS shows up is when I'm tracking on their website.

Does someone else know your Mobile Defense login info? I'd change your password as a precaution.

No one else even knows I have mobile defense. Gps is off now and I did not kill the app. Guess I'll keep an eye on it for now.

I know Mobile Defense runs for a couple mins during boot and a daily update check but this doesn't use GPS. You might want to check the other apps you have installed. See what apps are requesting the "fine (GPS) location" security permission. I had a weather widget installed that would automatically use my GPS.

Never seen it activate GPS before on my N1.
