Mobile Sensors

Hi Guys,
I own an Iball Andi 5H quadro. The Spec shows only a Accelerometer, Light sensor and a Proximity sensor. However, I find that my mobile has sensors

Gyroscope - MPU3050c gyroscope sensor Invensensor ( v1) and
Magnetic field sensor: BMM050 3 axis Magnetic field sensor Bosch (v 1)

The presence of these sensors are shown by Androsensor tool downloaded from Google Play store.

However, these dont seem to be active.
How to activate them. Do we need to root the mobile to make use of these?

Please let me know procedure of doing so..

Warm regards
Venkat

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

This would be an Android question, and not so much a device-specific question. I have moved your question to the Android Lounge:

Android Lounge - Android Forums

where other, more experienced eyes can see it and hopefully answer it for you. If you have any questions about this move, just click my name and PM me.

It's great to have you here! :)

Try downloading SkEye. It's free, and uses those sensors to find your coordinates. If it does, then the sensors are working. Then delete if you desire.

SkEye is an astronomy program that will identify the area of the sky where you are pointing the phone.

I have all those in the phone and tablet, and they work. Someone here had to explain the accelerometer to the Vulcan as he didn't believe the Nexus S was big enough to have one.
