Ok, if you go to Handago.com you will see that one of the programs listed is "Mobiola Video Studio." This program is listed as a program that can be used on the android and according to the program information it says that it can put videos on your mobile device easily.

Has anyone else had experience with this program. It is being offered for $24.95. Has any of you tried this trial program and can comment on it??

I know that there is alot of us desperatly seeking a program that will play videos off the web, like CNN.com and well I am on the hunt.:p

I haven't tried it, but it's not a player, it converts video from various sources into a format that plays in the predominant video player for whatever device you have.

Technically, you can use it to play any video on your phone, but you have to convert it on your pc first, so it's not gonna do what you want.

Edit: It IS the first way I know of to easily put porn on a G1, so it's got that going for it. :D

Crap. I like my phone, but makes me wonder if the ZZZ phone will be that much better and just around the corner too.....

If your on Win or a Mac, just go get Handbrake. It will convert the files and if I remember right, it's free.
Then just plug your G1 into your computer and copy them to the microsd root dir. I have found that with the (only) video player from the market, the 3gp seem to work best but mp4 also play. Just not as well.

well, I went through the painful task of registering on Handango's site and all that noise. After going through the information they needed to make the transaction complete I got an error at the very end giving me some odd code they even they didn't understand. So, I installed Freez iPod Video Converter for a few bucksless and it coverts any video nicely, even flv. You need to make sure you keep your video size at 320x240 and you will be pleased like I was. All play on PlaysVideo and Video Player from the market place great. Looks like for the time being pc conversion is inevitable :(

hope this helps

just tried this and videos refuse to play on my RC9 G1.
emailed tech support to see what they make of it.
