MOG is awesome!

So I've been using Pandora for a long time on both the iPhone and now the Droid X. However, a MOG app was just released the other day for iOS and Android, so I decided to give it a try.

Basically, you get a 3-day trial and then it's $9.99/mo. After using it for a couple of days now, I'm totally hooked and will be signing up for the subscription when my trial runs out. It's basically like Netflix for music. You pay a subscription price and then you can listen to as much music as you want. And unlike Pandora and other similar Internet music apps, you can listen to what you want when you want! You can create custom playlists of songs/albums in any order you want. You can listen to playlists of music from other people who have shared them. You can even download the songs to your device, though I'm sure there's some DRM so you'll only be able to play them while you are subscribed to the service.

You can use your MOG login on any device and have access to your favorites and playlists. At Mog.com, you can listen and customize your profile. On the iPhone or Android, you can log in and stream as much music as you like. You can search by song, artist, album, or playlist. You can even turn on the "radio" feature that lets the service choose music for you - either all the same artist or mixing in other similar artists (like Pandoa). But they have a cool slider that lets you customize how much you want to hear from other artists.

I have no affiliation with Mog, but I would definitely highly recommend at least giving it a try. The Android app is actually pretty good. The iOS app is good but does not have multi-tasking yet.

MOG - Millions of songs on-demand and radio that's just hard to believe
