First of all I have read the "help" section in the Google music player and either I am clueless or its not there what I am looking for. I come from the old school way of playing music, pop a CD in and press play!!!! Lol.......

Someone please break it down for me.
Basically what I am wanting to know is.

when I add a song to "my Libary" where is it stored?

When I actually download it not buy it how is Stored and since I downloaded it am I using data to play it at streaming rate?

When I buy a song I know it is stored to the devices but when I play it is it using data? And is data consumption the same as streaming?

320kb per minute for a song so roughly 8 hrs of music consumes a GB according to my calculations....

Hi Robert. When you download a song it will either be stored in you download folder or music folder. Both exist within the device's internal storage. I suggest if you desire to store many songs to add a SD card. (if an option) You can then create a folder named "music" and move your tunes to that folder. Your player will see your music library in any folder with the music name.

Streaming songs or videos will be reflected on your data usage but so will downloads. Streaming files come to you without compression. Purchased media files are normally compressed so the weight of transfer is less. Files that you have downloaded and store only use data to receive one time. Once they are on your device, they take no data to play.

Hi

Yes ^^

And when you add a track to "my Library" it is not by default downloaded, its just added to the index google keep with you user name so that its easy to find again.
