What is my sis-n-laws best choice? She wants to retire her LG Motion because she trys to update and gets not enough room message and I won't root her phone for safety. Would it be best to stay with metro or go to T-mo. Her plan is $60 unlimited w/insurance@ $65 mo. And what's the best deal for a phone in the same price range. Things are changing fast and I don't know all that is available and if the new plans are as good as they seem.

I forgot to say we're in the SF Bay Area.

If its just her have her retire the motion and pick up the f6 by lg she will save a bit of cash on metro pcs rather T-Mobile

Moto g is best bang for the buck as of now. Great screen, great battery, kitkat, snappy. On metro right now is F3 for sure

if shes open to the idea of other os' i would suggest taking a look at the lumia 521, its a fairly snappy device and will do all and more of your basic smartphone needs.

go to metropcs.com and check out what they have. they're running sales where you can get phones comparable to the motion for as low as $50 out the door with a $20 rebate on top of that.

It was an ordeal going from gingerbread to ICS. But I think she can handle Jellybean as long as play store doesn't change. I was looking at Tmo's prices they're higher and and fee charges where MPCS is still flat rate for now. We are between the F3 & F6 now because they're on sale for $49-$99.

F6 is now $79 with recent promtions :) This is a very good deal.

Be aware the F3 and F6 have very limited space for apps, and apps cannot be installed on SD cards on stock. That's the main reason I had to get rid of them. I dont play any games, and still had space issues which frequently resulted in texts and emails stopping due to low space.

If I remember correctly the F3 only has around 1GB of internal storage available to the user, no much compared to most phones currently available.

I got mine through MPCS online customer service for $99. Will use it as an oops phone. Will play with it without activating and have a backup if needed. Just noticed that they are out of stock now. Getting in the store you will have to activate it for a fee and also pay 2 months of service...I believe.
