Most efficient way to install and configure same apps on several devices?

Would this work?

1) Download apps on each device associated to same google account (one by one from Google Play)

2) Configure downloaded apps on ONE device.

3) Perform PC backup of this device using helium or titanium track or similar (which is the best?)

4) Transfer backed-up app data to each device by connecting them to PC one after the other.

Is this the most efficient way?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Forums.

All my phones are different.

I use Nova Launcher Prime, Pixel Phone Pro, and Tasker on all my devices. These three apps have the capability to save and restore their parameters.

What I do is download the apps from Play Store onto each device and then restore settings using Nova, Pixel Phone, and Tasker.
