Most powerful Android phone at the mo?

Being in the U.S. I'm not 100% sure, but from what I can find it's currently either the Desire or the Nexus One. Both are roughly identical, save for some minor styling details.

This page seems like a good resource:
Android Phone - Compare Android Mobile Phones

Again, I just did some quick research, so I may have missed something.

I would say it is between the HTC Desire and the Samsung Galaxy S.

The Nexus One has been discontinued now.

It's discontinued in the U.S. Not sure about the UK, but I believe that it's still available in most of the world via carrier.

Edit: Nexus One | News and Updates

Says Vodafone in Europe will still sell them. Whether or not that means it's available in the U.K. is beyond me.

Absolutely agree about Galaxy S and HTC Desire but Vodafone might still be able to do the Nexus One.

I prefer HTC Sense to Samsung's Touch Wiz as a user interface though so my money would be on the HTC Desire for that reason.

No question, it is the Galaxy S. Desire doesn't compare. There are a couple of videos online comparing the two phones. The Galaxy S trumps the Desire with better CPU and GPU.

Im biased having Galaxy S, but I was going to get Desire but after trying the GS I was won over, Amazing screen and you should see Quake2 go.

I'd say desire, it has htc sense, which is very simillar to default android , but with tweeks. If you want to to default android from htc phones its relitively easy aswell. Also 3.7 inch screen.
