Most Underappreciated Book

I used to read alot, but I haven't really read anything recently. I've been getting alot of good ideas in this forum!

I still have a question though. What do you think is the most underappreciated, undervalued book? That book (or series) that you absolutely love, but collects dust in bookstores and no one seems to have heard of?

In search of some gems in the rough. Any ideas?

A Fine and Private Place, & The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. These are fantasy, and unfortunately tucked away in the YA or Juv section of Libraries, but they are both VERY thoughtful reading. The Last Unicorn is very much an allegory of entering adulthood, dressed as fantasy.
