Help motherboard swap

So my lg g3 i bought locally was reported stolen or lost and now its blacklisted. I checked it online and it only works on at&t. Now i want to buy another used lg g3 with clean imei and take the motherboard and swap it to my phone. Will this work?
 
The phone has scratches all over the sides, too and bottom with a crack across the screen and mines still 10/10 condition lol
 
Ah, doh, I wasn't thinking - pretty obvious reasons! :D

Yeah - if it's the identical version of the phone you need then a transplant ought to work.

I'll post a link in a second, but if you need help or tools, the screen repair instructions at ifixit look pretty good, because you have to get through the electronics to get to the screen.
 
Its the same model. Im still debating wether i want to go through opening both phones and save time. The used phone is $280 and anothee guy is offering a new one for $350. Plus the guy selling the broken one seems sketchy, no box, brand new replacement charger. Sounds like he stole the phone and bought a new charger for it. But the $350 has everything in box with reciept
