Moto 360 notifications not working

I've had my Moto 360 for a few days now and the last couple days I have not been getting all of my notification on the watch. I restarted both my phone and the watch multiple times, resynced my apps in the Google Wear app, and still only some of the notifications come through. There really is no pattern as to which notifications from through either. One minute I will get multiple text message notifications in a row and then 20 minutes later I won't get any.

If I don't get all my notifications consistently, I'll definitely be sending this guy back (as much as I want to love it).

I have a Galaxy Note 4.
 
I guess I'll be sending the watch back. Really too bad they didn't at least nail the notifications feature of this watch. Hopefully they'll release a better version this year.
 
I've heard that the connections are much better with Moto phones. I really haven't had any issues with missed notifications, but then again I have the Nexus 6 by you-know-who. ;)
 
I have a buddy with a Moto G and an LG G watch running Kit Kat and he's got no problems at all.
 
I have a Moto X on KK and miss at least one alert on my watch daily. It's good but not perfect. I don't mind because I got the watch as a fun thing but if I truly relied on it I'd be a tad annoyed some days.
 
The purpose of having a smartwatch, for me, is to be able to preview all of the notifications on my phone as a way to determine if I have to pull my phone out. The secondary use is for Google Now (which honestly is still a little clunky on this thing as well).

I don't get my notifications consistently, this thing is close to useless and I might as well be wearing a regular watch that I don't have to charge.
