Help Moto 360 System Update thread

Not sure what it all entails, but I'll know soon. If you have anything less than 100% battery, don't bother trying to install it. I was at 78% battery and it told me to charge the watch first. Currently at 90%, I'll keep you posted... unless someone already has the update and can brief us on the contents.

:)

I'll connect to my watch when I get home so I can update immediately. Not pushed to my watch yet.

I think it's cool they want the ability to turn off the charging face and the heart rate monitor. They are cool features but definitely give us an option.

Finally got my notification, during lunch. Man, I'm so glad this watch charges fast. Put it down to charge 20 minutes ago (at 53%) and just took it off at 91%. Update installing, as I'm typing.

Mine hit around 1:00 EDT. Seems like the battery improved?

Absolutely did, from my view. Just went almost 2 hours, same amount of push notifications as before, and drop was only 10%. Before the update, 2 days ago, that would have been 20%. Yesterday and today, around 15%, so I'm crossing my fingers it's not just a placebo.

I won't judge until I have it on from full charge tomorrow morning. Good thing is, I'll have it on as early as I would for the work week, since I'm taking one of my cars for service.

When I had my gear 1, I'd typically get home with between 60-70% remaining (depending on how many notifications I received through a 12-14 hour day), so if the 360 can get closer to that, I'll be happy. Yesterday, I got home with about 25-30% (can't remember exact number).

Forgot to mention my update came in Thursday night and all is fine, except in feel like my screen is less responsive to turn on. Meaning I have to make multiple attempts at moving my wrist to get it to turn in. Even tapping the face may take 2 tries. Anyone else seeing that?

I'd reboot, Joe. If anything, mine is more responsive.

And for those interested, battery drain does seem to be slightly better. Only 4% down since taking off the charger 1 hour ago. That would have been around 10%, prior to update.

Not sure if it's because of the update or because I got rid of the mini-launcher.... but my battery life has skyrocketed! 12.5 hours off the charger right now with moderate usage, and I have 48% left. I'm usually around the low 30's/high 20's by now!

Earlier I posted that I thought mini launcher might have been my battery drain. I take it back. I've had it installed now for a few days and have had no problems.

I have mini launcher. Have had the watch on for 8.5 hours and only 30% drain. I'm almost positive that I am beyond placebo effect. I will judge based on how the drain is on a work day, but I'm happy with the update thus far

Yeah, no placebo here either. I'm on 14 hours off the charger and still at 41%. Had this version been on the watch from day one, there would not have been the negative reviews and concern over the battery.

My day included a few Facer changes. Demoing PixtoCam for a friend of mine. A bunch of texts and emails. 20 minutes of navigation.
