moto droid problem

Ok so this winter I got my droid during release week and I loved it until I lost it in the snow one night I never found it after looking for hours so I gave up on it. At the time I was going thru some rough times financially and I couldn't afford the deductible to get a new one so I used my roommates old bb tour. I recently found it and tried to salvage it. I had it in rice for 2 weeks and the droid itself doesn't show water damage. The red x's are still there with the white background my battery is slightly pinkish. I can't get it to work I can plug it in to the charger and the white charging light does turn on but its not powering on. Anyone know if replacing the battery will help at all. I miss my droid .

The pinkish on the battery tells Verizon that you got it wet. Don't take it to a verizon store that way. If you get a new battery and get rid of the pink then take it in to the store. They might do something for your, but not if the pink strip is on it.
