Back in 2012, I got a 7-inch tablet, and it served me fatefully until now. Time has taken its toll and my tablet is frequently stuttering and slowing down, and it has been getting on my nerves for some time now. So I guess, it's time for upgrade.
However, the tablet market is mostly dead in my (non-western) country, and it's really hard to find an affordable tablet with 2GB of RAM. So I started looking into phones and Moto G5 came as the top pick. Great specs and affordable.
However, I'm having some second doubts. I'm not a heavy phone user, and I already have a phone that I'm satisfied with. Good ol' 20$ phone that you can drop on concrete or in mud by accident and not worry about it. So, would Moto G5 be a good choice for a person that wants to use it as a tablet, or should I pick a tablet instead?
I use my tablet mostly for reading news and scanned documents, and it's important for me to be able to read those documents without too much zooming and swiping all the time. So far, I don't have that problem with my 7-inch tablet, but could device such as Moto G5 provide the same reading experience?
-----------------------------
TL : DR: Is Moto G5 solid as a reading device (especially for scanned documents) or should I go for a tablet instead?
