Moto X notification sounds

I'm coming from a Moto Droid RAZR.

The new moto X doesn't have the standard "Droid" or "Pixie Dust" sound notifications as stock.

I've been able to grab the mp3's, but has anyone sucessfully transfered them to the Moto X... Is it simply a file transfer and put them in a certain folder on the X and they should appear?

On the Bionic and Maxx you just put the .mp3 in any folder called Ringtones or Notifications and it will show up as a selectable item in the Settings | Sound dropdowns.

I have not validated that in a Moto X.

You added a valid .mp3 file?
You rebooted (power off/power on) after adding the file to the folder?

For custom ringtones, copy your preferred MP3 ringtones to Storage/Media/Audio/Ringtones. Apps will not pick these up for tone choices.

For Alarms tones, copy your preferred tones to Storage/Alarms
For App tones e.g. Messaging , copy your preferred tones to Storage/Media/Audio/Notifications

Just to be clear, ringtones can be in any folder called Ringtones, Notifications in any folder called Notifications, etc.

So, you could have some ringtones in /Media/Audio/Ringtones, some in /MyStuff/Ringtones, or just in a folder /Ringtones, and they will all show up in the ringtone picker.
