how do i transfer music that is in internal storage to an empty SD card?

Hi and welcome to AF. 
Okay, so 1st thing, you need to go into PlayStore and get a decent file manager app, e.g. I use Astro File Manager, so you may try that.
2nd, open Astro, and select the built in memory, find the folder where your music is kept, long press it and at the bottom left of the screen you should get an option to Copy or Move the folder, select Move then press back until you are at the memory selection screen, select external SD card, and at the bottom right there should be a Paste option, click that, it should start moving your music to the SD card.
