Help motorola droid 2 a955 help

hello all I need a little help I had dropped my droid 2 a955 in water like a year ago and wanna use it again but when I plug in the charger the little white charging light turns on but the rest of the phone wont turn on so i decided to open it up and check it out the motherboard has a little burnt looking spot on it and the ribbon that goes to the screen and digitizer is torn...my question is can i just get another motherboard from another droid or droid 2 and replace it and also replace the ribbon?? and if I can do that will it work again...please I need a little info n help...thanks
 
Replacing the motherboard will result in a completely new phone, new HEX, new MEID, etc. You would be better off just purchasing a used D2 on eBay.
