Motorola Moto g Navigation Dock

Hi all

I'm interested in buying a dock for several reasons.

A) it gives a nice place to put my phone in the car, and it's better than the cup holder

B) it would be easier to glance at my rear view mirror than to glance down (and safer too)

C) there's this one app that I recently found that will use the phones sensors and camera to record everything from your speed, altitude, gforce, GPS just in case of an accident I have evidence of what ever. Or if a cop decides to pull me over for speeding when I wasn't, I have evidence for the court or whatever. It's useful.

Thing is, I don't want to get a crappy clamp that will not fulfill it's duty in a year. I want something that is able to use the back camera, use at different angles, and be able to clamp like a beast.

I am using this for a Motorola Moto g. Any recommendations?

Regarding your other questions, I think you are asking about a regular car mount for your smartphone. I reviewed a lot of them, just follow a link in my sig or a sticky at the top of the forum. I span it into a second post which doesn't look as neat anymore, but it's partitioned by topics and you can still read the product name. One that I like the most is Arkon Mobile Grip 2, universal to fit any phone:

They also have Slim Grip Ultra, but MG2 is my favorite by far since you can also use your phone as a dashcam

Oh the app you recommended. I actually want an app that has a different purpose.

Auto guard. Records while you drive. In case something were to happen in an accident you have video evidence.

I already bought this app and so far I really like it.

As for a dock. I bought one from best buy. The really good one from Logitech was too expensive so I bought another once that does a pretty good job. I just hope that it clamps to my window for a while.
