Motorola Televation turns cable TV into IPTV streams for the whole home -- Engadget

I don't know about you guys/girls, but this is what I've wanted for Google TV.

Would be a beautiful thing to get rid of the cables box and it's horrible interface (which I just got an upgrade on and it is some how way worse).

Haven't seen any mention of this anywhere since the original post. I've seen hints of comcast use for this device later, but when I tried to contact comcast directly they basically said if there were to use it, you would have to rent the thing from them.
