Help Motorola updates Services your device is incompatible

I have the 2013 Moto G.
XT1028, Verizon.

I keep reading about how I need to manually update the Motorola update service in order to receive Android Lolipop, but when I go to update the updater, lol.
It tells mey device is not compatible with this version?

What is that supposed to mean?
If I can't receive an update to receive the UPDATE! then how can I get my update?
Apparently I'm not the only one who's had this problem. How do I fix it? Is there anything to fix?
Do I need to update the app? Or is what I'm seeing normal?

Since you didn't get a OTA for an update to Lollipop, I would presume that Verizon isn't going to do it. They are the ones responsible for pushing out new releases of the android software. Not saying that they are not going to do it in the future, but maybe you should call Verizon and find out !
