Motorola XT860 4G (Milestone 3 - Canada)

I got this model yesterday and the phone is gorgeous. The only two things I hate is:

- It is running android 2.3.4, but google talk does not have video call.
- Skype shows only a black screen.

Does any one know when a new update is scheduled to fix those two? Android 2.3.4 should have at least google talk video call working.
 
...not a very busy forum eh? I too got my XT860 this week. I'm actually with Telus so I had to get it unlocked.

I agree, its been great so far, looks great, smooth and fast. Sorry I can't make any suggestions about the problems you mentioned, but I'm hoping that an update will help what is I consider a pretty bad battery life.

Tons of bloatware too eh?
 
Battery life so far so good. (Lasting the same thing my old Galaxy S, around 10 to 15 hours of moderate usage).

Try to changing the battery profile or notifications (instead of push, every 10 min only).
 
...no, can't say that I have. Have you done anything differently, installed anything new lately...or has this always been an issue?
 
Nope... I experience it at least once a day... sometimes twice or 3 times... Playing with camera, changing from landscape to portrait to often, going from flash videos back to the home screen... all sort of 'heavy' activities reboot my phone... they weren't suppose to be 'heavy' once it is dual core.

I wonder when is the new firmware going to appear.
 
...tell me about it. It feels like the Droid 3 is two updates ahead of us now. Officially the Droid is on 5.6.890 (which contains a lot of good fixes), but there's the leak, 5.7.894 that a lot of the devs are using now on xda.

We've been forgotten :(
