Mount/map network drives... for real, this time

Hi all. This is my first post.

The problem of accessing files elsewhere on the network is all over the forum, usually with the same solution - ES File Explorer.

ES is indeed an awesome app. But it doesn't really mount a network drive as a local drive on the operating system.

See, I don't want an app that will access my network drive. I want to be able to access my network drive with **any** app. And that means it's the operating system that needs to think that my network drive is actually a local drive..... like we do everyday with windows, macs and linux boxes.

That way, I can use my video player of choice to play my videos, my slideshow app of choice to show my photos, my office app of choice to open my files... etc., etc.

So, if Android is Linux based, there should be a way to do it.

Is anyone out there up to the challenge?

Cheers.
