Help move apps to new sdcard

K, we have a new sdcard (SanDisk 8gb) cuz I need to move apps to it in order to free up some memory on internal memory. I was only able to moved pics and some other files using "my files". Now, I tried making a news folder while the phone was hooked up to PC. Just hourglass forever, close button a couple times, window pops up saying that Internet explorer isn't responding.... wth does IE have to do with making a folder on an sdcard?? Try to manage apps and move em to the sdcard, but it doesnt even give the option. Tried formatting the sdcard using that option on the phone, that failed, but was successful doin so through the PC. Didn't do anything different tho, just took that Lost file off. Still cant work with it on PC or move apps. NEED HELP! And this is all happening after the JB update that messed everything up.

This phone does not have an app2sd option

It is possible to link them to your sdcard, but you need root access,a partitioned sdcard/ext, and link2sd

Ugh, I figured. Thing is, it's saying that there's only 140 (?) mb left on internal memory and I KNOW there's no way that much being used up. Even the bar that's above the internal storage list isn't full. But when I plug it into my PC, it's in the red full. Not sure if I wanna root her phone cuz I don't want it getting MORE messed up if something goes wrong. I know how to root, just not a real veteran at doing it. Don't know too much terminology.
