move many photos at once

I would like to know how to move copy or delete many photos at once between phone and computer. There is an option to select all but that's too many. How do I choose more than one photo or video but not all?

Google photos is fantastic for this.. sync your device with google photos, and you can download them from the web page on your pc... (or mac if you are that way inclined)

Normally in a file manager or gallery app, you can long-press on one image and it selects it. In many cases that puts the app into 'select' mode where you can tap on a check box to select the ones you want to move.If you're moving them to a PC, it's infinitely easier to simply mount the phone as storage with a USB cable and select/copy them from the PC.
