Movie Downloads

I know there are plenty of sites that I can stream movies (like netflix), but is there any place I can actually download the movies? I don't mind paying for a rental, but more often then not, when I would like watch the movie I am either in the air or in a location where there is poor 3g.

i believe the blockbuster app has you download the app and allows you to play back without internet later. Each movie uses up something like 500mb of memory though
