Movies??

Until netflix arrives, is there any way to put a movie on my phone without ripping a dvd? like is there a place where i can buy the movie then put it on my phone?

Xilisoft video converter does a great job at converting movies and videos you already have to play on most phones but it is not free.

Oh so if i have a move from itunes, it would convert it? or do you mean a dvd?

Handbrake will convert videos for you, and its free, and there are tons of guides on here to do it. You can certainly find places to buy a digital copy and convert that. But its REALLY easy just to rip the movie with DVD Decrypter and convert with handbrake.

Now for the width and height in handbrake should i just use my resolution?

Depends on what kind of phone you have, and what the resolution of the file you want to convert is.

The phones resolution is 480 by 320 and the file is 720 by 304 so what should i enter in?

What phone is that? Mmost android phones have a resolution of 800x480.

If that is your resolution, you want to match the width, not the height. So set the width in handbrake to 480, and let it scale the height appropriately. That way you keep the original aspect ratio and dont lose any of the film.
