Movietube app on android tv not working

hello there
i am having a problem with the movietube app on mx3 tv box
it only works with 1080p videos but when it is 720p or lower it gets pixelated

what is odd is that i have another tv box with the app and it works perfectly fine
has anybody else had this problem
