Moving apps to SD card

I'm getting the "phone is low on memory" message more frequently, so I'm about ready to move some or all of my apps to the SD card.

1-What are the unknown "gotchas"?
2-Can you move them back to the phone memory if there proves to be some problem?
3-If you get a new SD card, how do you move the apps to it? Or do you just reinstall them? If so, do you have to re-buy paid apps?

1. You cant use apps on the sd card if it's mounted
2. yes you can
3. reinstall will wirk fine, OR just move them to the phone and insert the new sd card

3. I switched memory cards by just copying everything from mine to the new one (via Win 7) and inserted it. Everything worked perfectly.

You can get some apps that do not offer the "move to SD" to do it with Titanium Pro if you are rooted.

I did it last night to all the apps that would allow it - I'm not rooted. I'd guess that only about 1/3 allow it, that's a little disappointing. I just finished testing all the apps that I moved and they all appear to work just fine.

It's a little disappointing that I only reclaimed about 16 MB of space.

There must be a app that lists everything residing in the phone's memory, or am I missing something in Settings or elsewhere.

By the way, one of the apps that doesn't allow moving to the SD card is Phandroid! A little disappointing, wouldn't you say?

Get App2SD Free from Market and you will have a clear overview of what you can move to SD.

Us non rooted users depend on the developers to write move to sd into the app as an option, but theres a way aound that without rooting
