Moving from HTC One X to Galaxy S4

I am not too sure if this is the right section, but most likely this process will involve some kind of app, I am posting here.

I got Galaxy S4 and would like to move all my apps and app data from One X to Galaxy S4. I wonder how do I do that?

Majority of the apps, I can download from Play Store so no problem, but there are a few apps that I got for free via AppGratis and I am trying to 'move' the data to get those apps on Galaxy S4. AppGratis never answered my email on what happens if I want to move these apps or after doing a factory reset so the question is unanswered. Hence all the trouble.

Any helps is appreciated.

Seconding Hadron's Helium suggestion. It will let you back up (and restore) the data for the apps that you got through AppGratis, which should do what you're after.

Thank you folks.

I have used this app in the past and it never went as expected. Both the times it failed to do the job so I was hesitant.
This time it failed 4 times making a backup of all apps so I had to go one by one and then recovered on Galaxy S4. I can't figure out why it failed to backup. Was it too many apps (57 I think) or just the connection lost.

At the end, I managed to recover the apps I got from AppGratis but I doubt I will consider it reliable (noting repeated failure even this time to make a backup).

Funny, the one and only time I used it was to transfer some app data from a HTC Desire to a then unrooted HTC One. It worked fine for that, despite the fact that I had to flash a JB ROM I'd never used before onto the Desire before running Helium (because I used Gingerbread on the Desire). Once I rooted the One it was back to Titanium Backup though.

Anyway, glad you got it to work in the end.

Yeah, it seems like I frequently run into issues when trying to do large batch backup/restore operations with Helium. I usually end up breaking my ~190ish apps into smaller groups and just running 20 or so (or sometimes A-F, G-L, M-S, etc). For whatever it may be worth, I've run into similar problems trying to use adb backup (the mechanism that Helium uses) directly, so it may not be the app's fault. It's far from a perfect solution, but it's the best we've got for non-rooted phones.

Glad you got it to work :)
