Moving from S4 to S5

Hi

So just after finally customising my S4 to pretty much the way I want it, I'm getting an S5 :D literally know nothing about the S5 right now except it's specs are marginally better... Just excited and wanted to get a thread in asap!

So basically I want to get as much over as possible, which includes running a custom rom, rooted, the full works.

Any tips? Obviously I want to get the new phone up and running as quickly as possible.

S4 is running 4.4.2 right now, custom rom name escapes me right now!

Only questions I have off top of my head at the moment...

Will I have to rebuy all the apps I bought? Or simply sign into Google with same account and re download?

Best way to flash my S4 back to stock after I'm done?

Any known bugs or gotchas or things to look out for in particular with the S5?

You'll be able to get all your paid apps again provided it's on the same account. As for rooting and modding, have a look at our S5 ATR forum.

You can move stuff over very quickly with

* Samsung Smart Switch

it will transfer over your apps and data and pictures, providing you retain the S4 until after you get the S5 set up

or if that is not going to be possible, install Kies 3.0 right now and back up the S4 with it.

Then use Kies 3.0 again with the S5 to pull in the apps, data, wifi settings from the S4's backup file.

* Kies | SUPPORT | SAMSUNG

I'll have maybe overnight grace period with both phones... Was thinking I could do most of that with NANDROID online backup and TB pro?
