Help Moving partially full microSD from Moto Razr Maxx to Note 4

Is there any reason that the photos/videos made on the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx won't read seamlessly on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? By that I mean when I open the Note 4 camera, will the photos/videos made on the Razr appear as having been taken by the Note, and in the proper chronological sequence? This is quite important to me.
Help much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Frank,

First of all I am 99.9% sure that your photos will be viewable on the Note 4, I would also say that it is quite likely that your videos should continue to play but, not knowing which video/audio codec the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx uses, I cannot be sure. You could test the video compatibility by putting your SD card into a demo unit in a shop if you want to be sure.

With regards to new photos showing up in sequence: This will work so long as the phone is configured to use the same storage location (it will use the internal storage by default). So be sure to go into the settings and change things before shooting new photos. That said, even if you end up storing new photos in a different location, you will still see all your photos in the gallery. The only downside is that your new photos will be in a different folder.

If you need help configuring any of this, or working out where files are being stored, then feel free to post again ;)

Regards,
Eric.

Just wanted you to know that I did get the Note 4 and that the card transferred from the Moto flawlessly. Old images and videos sequence perfectly with new when viewed from the camera app, and the videos play just fine.
BTW interesting that I was offered $200 to trade in my phone and get the Note 5. Tempting but I wanted to keep my old phone and didn't want the 5. I think Samsung really wants people to buy the 5.
I thought I posted an earlier thank you, but can't see it so thanks again so much for your assistance!
Best,
Frank

I still have the SD from my first smartphone...16GB, Moto x. Used it in my G2 and now my Note 4. Works flawlessly and the 16GB is enough for my needs.
