Moving Photos to a New Phone

I'm trying to move a photo album to from an S5 Active to an S6...I tried just using Smart Switch on WiFi, but, the album did not move over.

I have a double micro USB cable...can I do it with this cable? I tried using SmartSwitch with the cable, and, it gave me a connection error, advising to switch my settings to some kind of file, but, could not find the specific setting in my phone.

Any help?

Install Google photos on your old device. It will backup your photos and videos.
Install same app on new device.
There they are...
