Help moving pictures within a folder

i have a nexus 7 first model tablet is there a way i can move pictures in a folder around that folder

I don't know if your device is the same but for mine in order to move a pic I go to My Files, select the pic(s) I want to move, select "move here", and then select the folder I want to move it into. Hope this helps.

Hi, am I right in thinking you mean re-arranging the position of pictures/images within a particular folder rather than from folder to folder?

This can be done by utilising the 'sort' function which I find usually defaults to 'A to Z' and is actually alphanumeric.

The pictures need to be renamed with an appropriate alphnumeric prefix eg. 1,1a,1b..........1z,2,2a,2b........2z.

The pictures will then appear in the folder in that order. If you want to insert pictures the prefixes would be eg. 1a1,1a2 etc., the order would then be :-
1,1a,1a1,1a2,1b,1c......

Although it may seem somewhat tedious, it does work and there are obviously variations to the theme. If you don't have many pictures in a folder just prefix them with a,b,c........, pictures can be inserted in the sequence with prefixes b1,b2 etc.

So it is possible to not only move pictures within a folder but also to organise them into groups as required.
