mp3 added -- how do I link this for a ringtone

added an mp3 file to the phone, and want to link this as my primary ringone. It is currently in a download folder. HELP!

The new ringtone does not show up in the ringtone list.

Make a folder on your sd card called Media. In that folder, create another folder called Ringtones. Put the file in there, then you can select it in your ringtone settings.

And FYI, this has been answered MANY times. If you would do a search next time, you wont have to make a new post.

Hello, I am a new Droid X owner and I did just this. I can see and play all of my ringtone files, but when I go into setting to change my ringtone, all that is there are the preloaded ones. Any other suggestions?
