MP3 re-encoder app?

Looking to re-encode any MP3s I download to a lower bitrate so I can squeeze more on my Nexus 4.

It only has to re-encode MP3s but MUST be able to select a directory - including sub-directories (preferable) or multiple files at once.

Also speed is not really an issue as I would leave it running overnight but that means something that will continue and log errors and not stop waiting for user input.

I don't mind paying for an app.

Any ideas?

If you have lots of songs to convert you're probably better doing it on a PC.

There are lots of free apps around. I use one called Switch for my podcast each week.

I generally use search to list all the MP3s under My Music then just drag and drop the files I want to convert to Switch. Switch is quite flexible about where it writes the converted files so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that works for you.

I do use cdex on my PC but a little tedious copying back and forth and also my PC is a bit "iffy" and can crash for no reason.

Plus I usually do downloads on the phone as I have it all the time and do it when at free wi-fi spots.
