Root MS323 boot into recovery!

I have had an idea! Bit i t might take some research. So, if you have owned an lg g2 ( <3 ) you know that the autorec app flashes twrp, unlocks bootloader, and other stuff.

Now, what I am getting at, One thing it does. Is patches the factory reset mode, so when you press reset it boots into recovery. Just a thought. :)

I know there are different apps for different variants. But if we unpack them, we might find something useful.

Rofl. More like the other two are. :P No but really.... We might be able to make something if we have source code to this and/or TowelRoot. If so (and I doubt TowelRoot) - we could possibly make an all in one root app. I might be game

But that's one of the ways how I get into recovery already. D320n, if that matters.

Oooh, he wants to make an app for doing that kind of patching... IDK, I think it's better to approach the developer of that app to add support for us.

What I want to do is make it so ms323 can boot into recovery mode. And still keep laf for fastboot / download mode

probably just some scripts in that apk that tells things what to do and where to push patch files, or it is way more complex than that lol. I will take a look at it and report back.

Edit: no scripts, just a lot of .img's Not really sure how this thing works to be honest :D

@MikeHoncho Strange it's not what your thought is... We could still make an APK for the all in one root tool perhaps though... Maybe even make it a template so almost any dev of a phone could use it... Anyone game with that thought?

It has always been a royal PITA to reverse-engineer an app and besides that, its unethical towards the developer. I still stand to the opinion that we should approach the developer and ask him to add support for our device(s), or someone could make the app from scratch. I must point out that your eyes shouldn't look my way considering this second idea :D

I agree. But you have to understand that I've actually been talking about something totally different. :P
Anyway! I concur. No need to reverse for such a small thing. We might want to talk to the dev. Should I do so?
