Help Multimedia messages

I have a fair;y new Samsung Galaxy 3 GT 15800. I am unable to send or receive multimedia messages (photos). When someone sends me one I get the message part but the attachment states - downloading.

Whta can I try to correct this issue.

Are your APN Settings correct? Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. When you click that, do you see any info?
 
Hi El Presidente, I have the same question. I have done what you say above and the info that shows on mine is internet and mms, internet has a green light next to it. Thanks in advance

You'll need to change/check those settings against whatever your provider says they should be. Can you press one of the options, then the menu button the phone, it will allow you to enter your own settings.
 
I was having this issue so thanks for asking and thanks for the replies.

I'm with Orange and got the settings off their website. MMSs are now sending okay, I'm just waiting for an inbound for test purposes and then hopefully it'll be sorted.

Edited to add: Yes, I have inbound and outbound MMS now. There were two elements missing from the settings in my phone; once those were in correctly it worked fine. I think something must have happened when the phone was upgraded, as MMS worked before... hey ho!
 
Well, this is odd... after working fine for a couple of days I now have no MMS sending or receiving, again. Checked the settings are correct according to Orange website, turned phone on and off. But it's not working now. Hmmm.
