Help Multiple Bluetooth Controllers?

I'm having an issue with my tablet's Bluetooth, and I searched Google before coming here. I have an N64 emulator, and I want to do multiplayer. I have 2 different BT controllers, but I'm having trouble keeping them connected. I connect my primary controller (the one I use for everything), then I connect the second controller. It stays that way for about 30 secs, then disconnects my primary controller. The second one stays in, but my tablet refuses to reconnect the first one. Turning my tablet's BT off then back on has no effect, it just repeats the whole thing over again. Is there some workaround I could look into? I know the OS does make a difference in some cases, I'm running 4.4.2.

Bluetooth on Android will only work with 1 device at a time

I can't say I'm suprised about that answer, but I did technically ask about a workaround. You know, a 3rd party app or something. I doubt emulators would even have a multiplater option if this kind of thing wasn't possible to begin with.

The emulator very likely emulates and provides the hooks in software, because otherwise games use that function may not work at all. I suspect a real N64 has a special wireless interface that can connect two controllers simultaneously, possibly two separate BT controllers and antennas. Might be worth you contacting the emulator devs, and enquire about it, see what they have to say.

Usual thing with phones and tablets, is to only be connecting one BT device at a time, like a headset, car system, tethered laptop, etc.
