multiple mms keep sending!????

I have the razr maxx hd not yet updated to kitkat(i keep denying it) My girlfriend has the droid razr m. Whenever she sends me a text with a picture it will keep sending the picture over and over and over throughout the day. What can i change on her phone or my phone to make this stop?
Right now the only way to stop it sending more is to have her delete the text conversation off here phone each time.
Also we are both using Handscent sms app. And my phone is a new warranty replacement i got a few days ago. thanks
 
I had the same problem with multiple sends, and also at times no receipt at all of pictures. I think it is a handcent issue. Problem solved by switching to chomp sms, which is very close in features.

Is it multiple sends (do you have multiple copies of the message) or is it just a reminder? Handcent can be set to give reminders if you do not acknowledge/read the message. Mine is set to remind me once every minute until I either reply or delete the message.

I'm on Kit Kat and I'm using Handcent and I don't have this issue.
 
When she sends me a mms it only shows one sent on her phone. But i keep receiving multiple copies of the same mms pic.

I guess my question is, are you viewing the first one that comes in and then a minute or two later, it comes again? Or, do you see a notification/toast come up about the message, ignore it and then a minute or two later, it comes up again?

When you open up your messaging app, is that when you see multiple copies or are you seeing only one message?

The reason that I say this, as I stated earlier, is I mistakenly mistook the message coming up on my screen multiple times as either my wife sending me the same message over and over again, or else, I was getting duplicates of one message my wife sent me. It wasn't until I realized it was a setting in Handcent that will "remind" you of a message if you didn't acknowledge it (in other words, you saw the pop-up message on your phone and that was it - you didn't clear it out, delete it or respond to it). It's a setting in Handcent that you can turn off. But, if you acknowledge the message (read it and/or delete it), then it won't keep "reminding" you. Once I figured that out, I realized I wasn't getting dupe messages.

Just want to make sure it's not a reminder popping up as opposed to actual duplicates.

I don't have this issue either with the stock app nor with Handcent on my phone which is running the official Kit Kat.
 
I have the toast off.
I get a mms from her. i look at it, then a minute or two later another comes. and another. Then however many more like that then a wait of ten mins or more then more start coming.

Are you running the latest version of Handcent? I know back in 2010, people experienced this (not everyone), and usually they found out they were running an older version.

Another possibility to try is to wipe the data for the app, uninstall it and then reinstall it from the market and see if that fixes it.

I would do the same on her phone as well.
